Alternates to Stampin’ Up! Birthday Card Organizer Kit

Have you seen the Kits Collection available at Stampin’ Up!?  If not, it’s certainly worth taking some time to check out the variety of kits. I’ve had this particular kit for a while and I decided it was time to sit down and put it together.  This kit is an 8” x 10” organizer to hold birthday or other celebration cards.  The kit comes with everything you need to get organized and never miss out on a birthday celebration.  It has pockets for each month so you can store your cards and have them ready to go.  There are extra pockets in the front and back to store additional cards.

I decided to create alternate cards by cutting up a card base and an envelope.  Cutting up one envelope and using it as DSP allowed me to create three cards. It’s fun cutting up the envelopes.  LOL!  Below is the list of colors and products used to create the alternate cards.

Kit layout and then I stepped it up the second card by adding some Linen Thread.
Cut up one card base to create these two cards.
Used a portion of an envelope, cut up card base, and pre-cut pieces.
Cut up an envelope to create DSP.

Stampin’ Up! Sea Turtle

This is one card from this month’s card class.  The larger turtle was stamped with Pool Party ink, however, before stamping, I used my sponge dauber to lightly dab Pacific Point ink around the edge of the turtle.  I really love how Pool Party and Pacific Point blend together so nicely.  I should have taken a picture of my inky fingers after I used Pacific Point ink pad.  I don’t know what it is with this particular color, but it never fails that I end up with blue stained finger tips.

Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour

When you get a text message from your daughter asking if you can make a fun girlie card for her, you drop what you’re doing and create!

Before I go any further, the sneaker is cut from my Cricut.  The glitter paper and embellishments are not Stampin’ Up! products.  However, the other products used to make this card are from Stampin’ Up!.  I think I met her criteria.  What do you think?

Stampin’ Up! Queen Bee Bundle

Hello everyone, my apologies for not posting for the last few weeks.  It has been extremely hectic for me and I just couldn’t squeeze any time in for blogging.  My scrapbook room is still a mess from arranging and re-arranging only to re-arrange again all of my retired Stampin’ Up! stamp sets.  I’m slowly getting back into the groove, however, I’m not 100% back.

This card was created for a previous card class.  It’s difficult to see in the picture, however, I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the wings.  I was a little sad to see this bundle had retired.  I was hoping that it would have carried over into the new annual catalog.  I have made close to 50 cards using this bundle.  I’ve enjoyed using it and it has certainly been well-loved.  This one is a keeper.

Since I briefly mentioned the new annual catalog, if you are in need of a new catalog, please reach out to me via email and I will get one in the mail to you.  It would be my pleasure to be your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.

Find below the list of products and colors used.
