A Beautiful Valentine Card Using Stampin’ Up! Country Bouquet Bundle

The original layout was a Pinterest find and I wish I could give credit to the original Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, however, I didn’t keep any information.  I saw it and immediately made it with my own take.  This one was from my January card class. The Country Bouquet is a great stamp set to use for other events like Weddings or if someone just needs a pick-me-up.

Below you will find the list of products and colors used. Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! online store unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under “SHOP” located at the top of the page.

Alternates to the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Everywhere Kit

The two bottom cards are my alternates. The other three are from the kit instructions.
Top left has the palm trees which are included in the kit. The other three are my alternates.

This Stampin’ Up! Christmas kit makes 9 cards, 3 designs each.  There are even extra pull-apart images if you want to send a holiday card to someone who lives in warmer weather. Just like other Stampin’ Up! card kits, these envelopes have a pretty design on the inside.  By cutting up one envelope, I was able to create an additional 5 cards with very few scraps left over.  I will probably cut up another envelope if I find that I’m running short of Christmas cards this year.

I kept the same coordinating colors listed in the kit and added Crumb Cake as my card base.

Below you will find the measurements and the list of products and colors used for the alternate cards. I checked inventory last week and this kit was still available through the Kits Collection.

I would like to let you all know I probably will not be making another post this month so we can get ready for the holidays without stressing.  LOL!  I wish each one of you a wonderful holiday no matter how you spend it.

A Great Fun Fold Card That Doesn’t Leave Any 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Scraps

Here’s a great fun fold card that won’t leave any 6 x 6 DSP behind. The fun fold is a CASe from another Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.  I’m sorry to say that I don’t know her name or saved the video.  I believe she is from the UK because I had to convert the metric measurements to imperial measurements.

The DSP measurement is 6” x 5 ¼” which allows you to use the scrap piece for your envelope.

I used the other side of the DSP to decorate the envelope.

The list of products and cut measurements are provided below. The products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Stampin’ Up! Rejoice in Him

The Last Chance sale started yesterday and this is the time to stock up on products that will be retiring soon.  This is one of the stamp sets from the 2023 Mini Catalog.   The card on the left was part of a card challenge that required us to use a shape as the focal point.  I chose a circle and decided to create my own DSP by stamping the leaves on Soft Succulent cardstock and emboss using one of the Basics 3D folder.  The card on the right is from my card class. The DSP is from Fancy Flora and the die for the frame is from the On-Line Exclusive, Radiating Stitches.  The sentiment die is from Something Fancy.

Stampin’ Up! Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder

This card was created for a special couple that is getting married this month.  Their wedding color is sage, and I thought Soft Succulent would be the closest to matching the wedding color.  There are no other accent colors in the wedding, so I used shades of purple and thought it complimented the Soft Succulent nicely.  The leaves are from the Framed Florets die set which is expected to be back in stock towards the end of this month.  The pearls are left over from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit.

I checked the Clearance Section about a week or so ago and this Hybrid was still available.  It’s a really nice set to have.

A Fun Technique Using Stampin’ Up! Lucky Clover Stamp Bundle

I wasn’t sure how this card was going to turn out using painter’s tape to create the rainbow.  If you have ever used this technique, I’m sure you’ll agree it’s a fun technique and each card will be uniquely designed.  Also, this technique gives you inky fingers!  LOL!

I included some pictures showing how to do this technique.  I used a light grip painter’s tape to avoid it from tearing up my paper when I pulled the tape away.  Washi tape may also work if you don’t have any painter’s tape.

When you place the tape on your ink pad, try your best and NOT press down hard on the tape.  It will make a huge mess if you do.  I ever so lightly ran my index finger over the tape before lifting it up and placing it on the Basic White.  Once it’s on the Basic White, I did press along the tape so most of the ink transferred from the tape to the Basic White.

You may notice the card layout is the same as the one I did the other day. I just changed the look of the rainbow.

St. Patrick’s Day Card Using Lucky Clover Stamp Bundle

This bundle was in my first pre-order as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and I’m so happy I didn’t wait to order it.  It didn’t take long for the punch to be out of stock once the mini catalog went live.  Our household doesn’t usually celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, but I’ve always wanted to visit Ireland ever since I wrote a paper about Ireland back in my college days.

I used the hexagon die from the Something Fancy die set and cut it in half to create the rainbow.

Use Stampin’ Up! Thanks A Bunch Stamp for a Valentine Card

The carrot stamp in the Thanks A Bunch stamp set can be used to create a heart shape.  It’s been fun using this set to create images other than a carrot.  This is one of the sets you can earn for free during Sale-A-Bration.

The card bases are the Note Cards & Envelopes pack that measures 5 1/8 x 3 5/8 inches. I threaded the Baker’s Twine through the stamped heart by punching a 1/16” holes on each side and tied a bow.  I used my blending brush and lightly shaded the Basic White with Sweet Sorbet ink to give it a softer look.  These will be used for Valentine’s Day, but you can easily change up the colors and make it a Birthday, Thinking of You or Just Because type of card.

More Quilt Cards Using Stampin’ Up! Scrap Designer Series Paper

I love these coordinating DSP patterns.  However, I learned that creating the look of a heart shape quilt should have similar colors.  That’s another tip that I will remember!

I took the quilt card a step further and embossed it giving it texture and it reminded me of an actual quilt.  It completely changed the look when compared to the first one I made which I posted yesterday (2 Feb 2022).

As you can see below, the heart shape is difficult to see. Still pretty, however, the heart shape is not obvious. I thought about outlining the heart with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker, but was concerned I would ruin the card.

I was so excited to make another card, that I forgot to take pictures along the way. The steps to assemble the heart are provided below using the same pictures I used in my previous post (2 February 2023).

So here’s the updated list of TIPS:  Use three coordinating DSP.  Two should be like colors to form the heart shape and the third is placed around the heart shape.  Cutting the squares all equally is a must.  Using “directional” patterns are tricky when you cut them diagonally, so have a few extra square pieces available.

Stampin’ Up! Country Floral Lane Suite

I’ve been having fun with the Country Floral Lane Suite Collection.  I used everything in the suite except the ribbon and embellishments.  I had intended on using them in my original layout of this card, however, when I finished the card, I felt like the ribbon and embellishment made it too busy and took away from the bicycle DSP.
