St. Patrick’s Day Card Using Lucky Clover Stamp Bundle

This bundle was in my first pre-order as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and I’m so happy I didn’t wait to order it.  It didn’t take long for the punch to be out of stock once the mini catalog went live.  Our household doesn’t usually celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, but I’ve always wanted to visit Ireland ever since I wrote a paper about Ireland back in my college days.

I used the hexagon die from the Something Fancy die set and cut it in half to create the rainbow.

The list of products and colors used are listed below.

  • Cardstock:  Basic White, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze
  • Stampin’ Ink Pad:  Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Garden Green, Black Memento
  • Ribbon:  Baker’s Twine
  • Adhesive of choice, Dimensionals
  • Paper Trimmer #152392
  • Bone folder #102300
  • Paper Snips Scissors #103579

Cutting Instructions (measurements in inches):

  • Card base, Pumpkin Pie, 5 ½ x 8 ½, score at 4 ¼ (additional cut of card base is listed below which will make the flap, 1 ¼ x 4 ¼ )
  • Cajun Craze, 2 ½ x 3 ½ (you’ll need 2)
  • Basic White, 2 ¼ x 3 (outside) and 5 ¼ x 4 (inside)
  • Basic White scrap for one carrot and another scrap to mask the carrots while stamping the greenery
  • Ribbon, approximately 18 inches

Instructions:

  • Cut the card base to 5 ½ x 7 ¼, then take the leftover 1 ¼ inch piece and cut it down to 1 ¼ x 4 ¼, score at ¾
  • Adhere the ¾ inch flap to the inside card base.  Line up the score line with the edge of the card base.
  • Stamp your images on the Basic White outside and inside pieces including the scraps.
  • I used the masking technique to add the greenery to the carrots.  Stamp a carrot on each scrap paper and fussy cut them out.  One will be used for masking.  Lay it over the top of the carrots when you stamp the greenery.  The other will be on the outside adhered with dimensionals.
  • Adhere the inside Basic White.
  • Adhere the outside sentiment to one Cajun Craze piece.
  • With the card close, adhere the outside sentiment onto the flap and then adhere the other Cajun Craze to the backside of the flap.
  • Wrap the twine around the flap and tie a bow.

Fun Fold Using Stampin’ Up! Wonder of the Season Memories & More

I participated in a mystery stamping project and this fun fold card was the result.  At first, I thought the measurements for the inside may have been incorrect, however, I went with it and I’m happy I did.  After I finished the card, I thought the inside could easily have been a gift card holder.

I used the retired Wonder of the Season Memories & More for the belly band and the retired Peaceful Boughs for the inside.

Measurements for this fun fold is provided below.

Fun Treat Pouch Using Stampin’ Up! Products

This treat pouch was super fun and super easy to make.  It’s also a great project for those last minute gift ideas.  I made several of these for the staff members at our local veterinary clinic.  I filled the cup with candy and a little adult beverage bottle that pairs well with hot chocolate. I put the cup, treat pouch and a small bottle of hand sanitizer in a cellophane bag.

I found the coffee cup with lid at TJ Max, however, I’m sure your local stores carry them.  The tinsel around the lid is actually a wired ribbon I found at WalMart.

See below for the list of products, colors and measurements for this treat pouch.

Stampin’ Up! Kindest Gnomes Tags

These gnomes are so adorable and are perfect for gift tags.  These will be sent to my sister to use on gifts for the doctor’s office.  These gnomes were fun to create.  I can easily visualize using them for other holidays like a winter birthday.  Replace the candy cane with a tiny flower.  Change the DSP pattern and add a happy birthday stamped sentiment on the label.  There you have it…. A happy birthday tag!

I used several Stampin’ Up! products to create these tags and you will find them listed below.

Merry & Bright Kit Collection Cards

We had lots of family and friends over Thanksgiving week.  Getting ready before everyone showed up and then putting the house back in order after everyone left kept me away from creating cards over the past several weeks.  I’m glad to be back!

These cards are from the Merry & Bright Kit Collection set.  As of yesterday, this product is still available for purchase.  The cards with two oranges are designs from the kit.  The others are alternates that I created and were inspired by other Demonstrators.  I made these for Christmas, however, the cards can easily be turned into winter cards for Birthdays or even Thinking of You cards.  You’ll find below a list of stamp sets and punches used in my alternates.

Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Another Slim Line Card

The gorgeous colors on this tree was my inspiration to make another slim line card.  The tree is located at a neighborhood church and I’ve watched the leaves gradually change colors over several weeks.  The day I took this picture, I thought the colors were absolutely perfect!

I used the Beauty of Friendship stamps which is a two-step set.  All four trees were stamped first in Bumblebee ink and then I used Pumpkin Pie ink for the second stamp.  I used my daubers to add a third color before stamping the second stamp again.  I daubed the additional color to the center and bottom of the stamp.  I used Cajun Craze ink on the left and right trees and Merry Merlot on the inside tree.  The tree trunk was first stamped in Soft Suede.  I added Early Espresso to the outer edge of the tree branches and stamped again to make it look like it had more branches.

I tore a piece of scrap paper and used it to mask the card when I created the background.  I first used Granny Apple Green, then Garden Green and lastly added a touch of Cinnamon Cider.  The sky was done in Balmy Blue.  I used a non-Stampin’ Up! sky stencil for the clouds, however, after I made a few, I decided to just use my Balmy Blue Blending Brush on the rest of the sky.

Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

The list of products and colors used can be found below.  I hope you like this card and it inspires you to create a slim line card.

Create a Fall Slim Line Card

This continues to be one of my favorite Fall stamp sets although it’s retired.  I don’t always think of creating a slim line card, however, participation in a recent slim line challenge resulted in this lovely creation. I lightly shaded the outside sentiment using my dauber in Pumpkin Pie ink pad.  Stampin’ Up! offers slim line envelopes which you get 5 each 3 colors (Soft Succulent, Smoky Slate, White).  If you decide to create a slim line card, I would not recommend using Dimensionals and be cautious of the number of layers used because of the added weight.
