Stampin’ Up! Quiet Reflections

A wonderful stamp set that makes a gorgeous card.  This is just one card from my April class and it’s probably my favorite.  Before I stamped the image, I inked the top part in Shaded Spruce and then turned it around and inked the bottom portion in Balmy Blue.  Using a dauber, I lightly blended the area where both colors overlap to avoid having a distinct line before stamping.

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions

Did you get the Flight & Airy DSP during Sale-A-Bration?  If so, here’s a great layout you can use that shows off the beautiful paper.  Using a blending brush and Boho Blue ink pad, I lightly went over the Layered Florals 3D image.  I love the 3D images more and more in the way it makes a card pop.

Alternates to Stampin’ Up! Birthday Card Organizer Kit

Have you seen the Kits Collection available at Stampin’ Up!?  If not, it’s certainly worth taking some time to check out the variety of kits. I’ve had this particular kit for a while and I decided it was time to sit down and put it together.  This kit is an 8” x 10” organizer to hold birthday or other celebration cards.  The kit comes with everything you need to get organized and never miss out on a birthday celebration.  It has pockets for each month so you can store your cards and have them ready to go.  There are extra pockets in the front and back to store additional cards.

I decided to create alternate cards by cutting up a card base and an envelope.  Cutting up one envelope and using it as DSP allowed me to create three cards. It’s fun cutting up the envelopes.  LOL!  Below is the list of colors and products used to create the alternate cards.

Kit layout and then I stepped it up the second card by adding some Linen Thread.
Cut up one card base to create these two cards.
Used a portion of an envelope, cut up card base, and pre-cut pieces.
Cut up an envelope to create DSP.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Lavender Suite

This was from my March Card Class. There are a few beginners in my class and they did a fantastic job making this card as they learned to add multiple layers to their card.  I’m happy to see this stamp and die set will carry over to the new Annual Catalog, however, it will no longer be sold as a Bundle.  The card base is Starry Sky which will be retiring soon and has been one of my favorite colors.

A Fun Layout Using Watercolor Melon from Stampin’ Up!

This is the last day to take advantage of Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration.  You can earn this stamp set for free with a $50 purchase of products.  This card was created for my February card class and everyone loved the bright colors.  I used the Modern Oval punch for the whole watermelon, but it’s an easy shape to fussy cut if you don’t have the punch.

Below you will find the list of products and colors used. I left a 1/8” border on the front because I wanted the bright color to pop.  Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! online store unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under “SHOP” located at the top of the page.

Alternates to the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Everywhere Kit

The two bottom cards are my alternates. The other three are from the kit instructions.
Top left has the palm trees which are included in the kit. The other three are my alternates.

This Stampin’ Up! Christmas kit makes 9 cards, 3 designs each.  There are even extra pull-apart images if you want to send a holiday card to someone who lives in warmer weather. Just like other Stampin’ Up! card kits, these envelopes have a pretty design on the inside.  By cutting up one envelope, I was able to create an additional 5 cards with very few scraps left over.  I will probably cut up another envelope if I find that I’m running short of Christmas cards this year.

I kept the same coordinating colors listed in the kit and added Crumb Cake as my card base.

Below you will find the measurements and the list of products and colors used for the alternate cards. I checked inventory last week and this kit was still available through the Kits Collection.

I would like to let you all know I probably will not be making another post this month so we can get ready for the holidays without stressing.  LOL!  I wish each one of you a wonderful holiday no matter how you spend it.

A Great Fun Fold Card That Doesn’t Leave Any 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Scraps

Here’s a great fun fold card that won’t leave any 6 x 6 DSP behind. The fun fold is a CASe from another Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.  I’m sorry to say that I don’t know her name or saved the video.  I believe she is from the UK because I had to convert the metric measurements to imperial measurements.

The DSP measurement is 6” x 5 ¼” which allows you to use the scrap piece for your envelope.

I used the other side of the DSP to decorate the envelope.

The list of products and cut measurements are provided below. The products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Stampin’ Up! Autumn Leaves Bundle

Another fun fall stamp set from Stampin’ Up! and it doesn’t disappoint.  I was in a hurry to take a picture of this beauty that I completely forgot to add embellishments.  I will certainly add some before I mail it out.

It may be difficult to see in the picture, but I lightly brushed copper ink along the spine leaves (I guess that’s what they are called). I really love how this card turned out.  I hope you do too!

Below you will find the measurements and the list of products and colors used for this card.

Stampin’ Up! Cheers to the Season Makes A Great Hostess Gift Set

I had a blast creating these card sets.  I plan to give them to family that will be visiting us later this week.

I did a Live video on my Facebook page this past weekend showing how I made these sets.  I focused primarily on how I stamped the leaf image and assembling the box.  If you watched the video, I do apologize for the background noise.  I’m still learning how to do live videos.

I added an extra layer of cardstock to the box.  I felt it needed a little more sturdiness, but you don’t have to add it.

Stamping the leaf was so much fun.  I used my dauber and lightly added a second color.  Each leaf is uniquely different.  I love that about these types of stamps.

These card boxes will hold four A1 size note cards with envelopes.  These boxes will also accommodate using dimensionals on all four cards.  If you adhere everything flat, you could probably add two more cards.

I’ve included a template for the box to show where to cut and it’s not to scale.

Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.
