Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms

This was created during my monthly upline meeting.  We used the Irresistible Blooms Suite that is only through the On-Line Exclusive.  The DSP is 6 x 6 and includes two returning colors that will be part of the Color Revamp. The two colors are Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon! We won’t see those colors, in addition to other new colors until the launch of the new Annual Catalog.

I checked the status of this Suite/Bundle and it is currently unavailable, however, is expected to be back in stock mid-April.  I do apologize for showing you this set this week although you will not be able to purchase until then.

The list of products and colors used are listed below.

Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Coloring Vellum Using Stampin’Up! Flowers of Friendship

The Stampin’ Up! Lovely Layers Vellum is a great buy.  It’s in the annual catalog and I almost missed seeing it.  You get 60 sheets of 4 printed designs and 40 plan sheets.  It comes already cut to 3 ¾ x 5.

I stamped the flower with VersaMark and used white embossing powder.  I also stamped the larger flower with petals on scrap vellum for the inside.  (Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the inside.)

After I used my heating tool, I flipped the vellum over (back side) and colored the flower and petals with my Stampin’ Blends.  I went over it twice, however, it wasn’t necessary as it really didn’t darken as much as I thought it would.

This technique can easily be used with any stamp set that does not have a lot of design in the middle so you can see the coloring.

Fun Fold Using Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon

I sometimes can’t remember names of fun fold cards….and this is one I can’t remember!  However, I will remember that it’s a fun and cute one to create.  I used the On the Horizon stamp Bundle and New Horizons DSP.  Sadly, both are no longer available.  I think the DSP may have been gone for a while.

I stamped the trees on the DSP side panels using Evening Evergreen.  The front is a combination of stamped and die cut images. I stamped the drift wood image on scrap Basic White before die cutting the fence.  I was happy to use my Stampin’ Blending Brushes for the sand.

See below for the list of products, colors and measurements for this fun fold.

A Fun Fold Graduation Card

Today I finished making two graduation cards.  There are several YouTube videos showing how to create this particular fun fold, however, they would fit in a larger envelope than the standard A2 envelope.  Wanting to keep it to a size A2 envelope (4.375” x 5.75”), I created these fun fold size cards.  I will say, I’m proud of myself in that I didn’t waste much cardstock trying to figure out the new measurements.  Also, there are also several YouTube videos showing how to make a tassel.  I’ve included several pictures showing just how easy it is to create one.  You will notice that I stepped up the fun fold and turned one of the cards into a gift card!

See below for the list of products and colors used.  I also included measurements and instructions with several pictures.

Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Supplies:

  • Stamp:  Special Moments (retired)
  • Dies:  Playful Alphabet (retired)
  • Cardstock:  Basic White, Blueberry Bushel (retired), Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape
  • Stampin’ Ink Pad:  Blueberry Bushel (retired), Gorgeous Grape
  • Adhesive of choice (I used liquid glue), Mini Glue Dots #103683, Tear & Tape Adhesive #154031
  • Embellishments:  Rhinestone (retired), Matte Decorative Dots #156289
  • Ribbon:  Gorgeous Grape (retired), Pineapple Punch (retired)
  • Punch: Scalloped 1 1/8 inch (retired)
  • Paper Trimmer #152392
  • Cut & Emboss Machine #149653
  • Bone folder #102300
  • Paper Snips Scissors #103579

Cutting Instructions (measurements in inches):

  • Card base, Gorgeous Grape, 8 ½ x 3 ¼ , score at 2 1/8, 6 3/8
  • Cap, Gorgeous Grape, 3 x 3
  • Hinge for cap, Gorgeous Grape, 2 x 2, score in half
  • Inside Basic White, 4 x 3
  • Collar, Basic White, 2 1/8 x 2 1/8, cut diagonally
  • Ribbon, approximately 4 inches (need two pieces), Baker’s Twine (depends upon how thick you want the tassel)
  • Scrap, approximately 4 x 2, Daffodil Delight for the year
  • Gift Card Holder, 4 1/8 x 2

Instructions:

  • Fold the card base at score marks, set aside.
  • Fold the cap hinge at score mark and adhere to card base, inside top center.  TIP:  Place the fold slightly above to allow the card to close easily. (Refer to picture)
  • Stamp the inside Basic White and adhere.
  • Adhere the diagonally cut Basic White to the outside flaps.
  • Adhere the ribbon along the diagonal Basic White.  I used liquid glue since I used shear ribbon.
  • Now let’s work on the cap.  I placed a small strip of tear & tape, however, you can use liquid glue.  Close the card and carefully place the cap diagonally to the front.  I used the closed flap to help center the cap point.
  • Adhere the year to the outside.
  • If you are adding a gift card, go ahead and punch a half circle on the holder and adhere to the back.  TIP:  Use tear & tape or liquid glue to adhere since the holder.  Don’t make it too tight that you will struggle inserting the card and possibly tearing the card.
  • Now for the tassel.  Refer to the pictures to help better explain.  I wrapped the Baker’s Twine around my finger ten times.  However, it’s a personal preference as to how thick you want the tassel.  Slip it off your fingers holding it towards the top.  Wrap the twine several times completely around and tie a knot in the back.  Cut the twine in half and then adhere to the cap using mini glue dots.  I used a mini glue dot to adhere to the center and then added the Rhinestone.
Use the back of the card to insert a gift card.

Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set

One of the many perks I love about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is having the opportunity to get your hands on product before it’s available to our customers.  I’ve had this suite, however, the soonest I was able to play with this set was when I attended the monthly up line meeting last week.  These are some of the make-n-takes from the meeting.

This set will be available in the new Annual Catalog coming in May.  However, for a limited time, customers can now order this suite, bundle or individual products until 2 May 2022.  If you love what you see, please-please don’t delay and order now!  Everything about this suite is beautiful.  I’ve included pictures of the products you can now order.

Flip Corner Fun Fold Using Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream

Although I got sidetracked yesterday creating a card using Hey Chick, I was able to finish this gorgeous Flip Corner Fun Fold.  I decided to show more of this beautiful DSP by not adding a sentiment on the front.  However, you could easily add a sentiment at the bottom.

Below, you’ll find a list of products, colors, and instructions used to create this card.  I included additional pictures to help better explain how to create this fun fold.  Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Supplies:

  • Stamp:  Daffodil Daydream #157786
  • Die:  Daffodil #157794
  • Cardstock:  Basic White, Pear Pizzazz, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive Pale Papaya
  • DSP:  Daffodil Afternoon (retired)
  • Stampin’ Ink Pad:  Pear Pizzazz, Evening Evergreen
  • Stampin’ Blends:  Dark Daffodil Delight
  • Ribbon:  Crinkled Seam Binding #151326
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Cut & Emboss Machine #149653
  • Bone folder #102300
  • Paper Snips Scissors #103579
  • Other:  pencil and 3 x 3 sticky note

Cutting Instructions (measurements in inches):

  • Card base, Pear Pizzazz, 8 ½ x 5 ½, score at 4 ¼
  • Mossy Meadow, 2 7/8 x 2 7/8
  • DSP, 4 x 5 ¼, 2 ¾ x 2 ¾ and scrap for butterfly
  • Scrap Old Olive, Basic White, Pale Papaya scraps for the Daffodil die cuts
  • Basic White, 4 x 5 ¼, inside
  • Ribbon, approximately 16”, enough to wrap around and tie a bow.

Instructions:

  • Prepare card base and adhere the DSP to the front, set aside.  We will cut the corner later.
  • Adhere the smaller DSP to the square Mossy Meadow, set aside.
  • Using the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend, color the crinkled ribbon, set aside to dry.
  • Stamp the inside using Pear Pizzazz ink pad and adhere to the card base, set aside.
  • Stamp the butterfly using Evening Evergreen ink pad on scrap DSP.
  • Using your Cut & Emboss machine, die cut the daffodil and butterfly.  Assemble the daffodil flower, set aside.
  • Now let’s create the flip corner.  Place the 3 x 3 sticky note on the front top right hand side of the card base.  I found it much easier to cut the flip using a sticky note!  Keep it in place until you’re done cutting.  Place a tick mark on the sticky note, top left at 5/8 inches down.  Do the same for the bottom right.
  • Using the trimmer, cut from the 5/8 inch down to the 3 inch mark.  Then turn the card base and trim at the 3 inch mark to the 5/8 inch mark.
  • Discard the sticky note.
  • Carefully, start to fold the corner down which will cause the cut part to flip back.  TIP:  I found it easier to fold by scoring the fold line first.  Use your bone folder to get a good crease.
  • Now you’re ready to assemble.  I fussy cut a daisy from the scrap DSP for the inside.  To keep the front flap flat (say that three times real fast), I added some adhesive to the bottom left corner.
