Stampin’ Up! Painted Lavender Suite

This was from my March Card Class. There are a few beginners in my class and they did a fantastic job making this card as they learned to add multiple layers to their card.  I’m happy to see this stamp and die set will carry over to the new Annual Catalog, however, it will no longer be sold as a Bundle.  The card base is Starry Sky which will be retiring soon and has been one of my favorite colors.

Stampin’ Up! Tropical Leaf

I’ve been playing with the Tropical Leaf Bundle and decided to CASE a layout from Stampin’ Up!.  It’s a fun layout and it can certainly be a design of your own.  I added Petal Pink ink to the background by using my Blending Brush.  The best part of this card are the leaves.  Before stamping the leaf image, I stamped it with Soft Sea Foam ink, and then added Shaded Spruce ink lightly using my sponge dauber.  This technique guarantees each leaf is uniquely created!

The list of products and colors used are listed below.  Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you are still in need of the new Stampin’ Up! annual catalog.

Sneak Peek of Another New Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-Bration Product!

Here’s another sneak peek at a Sale-a-Bration product you can earn for free.  Don’t forget Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-Bration starts 1 July 2022 and will end 31 August 2022 and also the new mini-catalog.  There’s some wonderful products in both the catalog and brochure.  Don’t hesitate to contact me if you need a copy of the mini catalog and the Sale-a-Bration brochure.

During 2020 when we were all staying at home, I started watching the Cincinnati Zoo Facebook page.  Watching the different animals, I grew to like hippos.  Their famous Fiona the Hippo was amusing to watch.  I love how Stampin’ Up! is offering the stamp set and die set separately.  You can earn each for free with a $50 purchase.  I used several of the new 2022-2024 In Colors to create these cards.  Again, I used the new Deckled Rectangles with the jagged edges.  It’s difficult to see in the picture, but I did add Wink of Stella to the hippo’s tutu, slippers and nails.

See below for the list of products and colors used for this card.

Fun Fold Using Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon

I sometimes can’t remember names of fun fold cards….and this is one I can’t remember!  However, I will remember that it’s a fun and cute one to create.  I used the On the Horizon stamp Bundle and New Horizons DSP.  Sadly, both are no longer available.  I think the DSP may have been gone for a while.

I stamped the trees on the DSP side panels using Evening Evergreen.  The front is a combination of stamped and die cut images. I stamped the drift wood image on scrap Basic White before die cutting the fence.  I was happy to use my Stampin’ Blending Brushes for the sand.

See below for the list of products, colors and measurements for this fun fold.

Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration

I felt like playing with my blending brushes this week.  I don’t know about you, but when I use my brushes, I end up using 5-6 different stamp inks for the sky.  I just kept pulling down colors from my cabinet.  The first card I made was created using my blending brushes and stamps.  I added die cuts to the second card.

I fussy cut the wave on scrap paper so that I could use it to mask the stamped ocean as I was creating the sky.  Don’t throw it away when you’re done.  Keep it in the stamp case, so you can use it again and again.

Below, you’ll find a list of products, colors used to create these cards.  Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Stampin’ Up! Oceanfront Stamp Set

This Oceanfront stamp set is another great Dis-Ink-Tive style stamp set.  You can’t make a mistake in stamping because it’s intended to have light and dark areas of ink when you stamp the images.  So pretty!

I used my Stamparatus to stamp each image.  It’s one of my main items in my toolbox of stamping tools.  I used my blending brush with pool party ink after I ran the pool party cardstock through my Cut & Emboss machine with the Seabed embossing folder.

I have provided a list of products and colors used to create this card.  You can purchase the products through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon Designer Series Paper

The Stampin’ Up! artisan that created this DSP hit the mark!  The DSP creates beautiful backgrounds to any card.  This DSP is in the Mini Catalog and will only be available until June 2022.  I stamped the wood image on Basic White for the fence.  I had some scraps of this DSP and decided to use them to die cut the grass.  This was a very easy and quick card to make.  Thankfully I used the adhesive sheets before I die cut the fence and grass.  It made it so much easier to adhere to the card.  I highly recommend using this product when working with small pieces.

Below, you’ll find a list of products and colors used to create this card.  Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Stampin’ Up! Waves of Inspiration Fun Fold

Here’s a fun fold card created using a brand new suite.  I was happy to see that the stamp set and dies will be available in the upcoming annual catalog.  However, the DSP, special foil DSP and embellishments are no longer available to purchase.  Those items certainly went fast.  This whole suite is amazing!  I also used Oceanfront stamp set when I was creating the sandbank.

I CASEd this card from Stampin’ with Kim Arlene.  I have to confess, this is a picture of my second card.  As I was putting the finishing touches on the first card, I realized I stamped the inside sentiment too far over to the right.  When I folded the card closed, you could see the sentiment!  I couldn’t believe I finished the card and that’s when I realized my mistake!  LOL!

Below, you’ll find a list of products, colors and measurements used to create this fun fold.  Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Supplies:

  • Stamp:  Waves of Inspiration #158833, Oceanfront #157862
  • Die:  Waves #158840
  • Punch:  1” circle (retired)
  • Cardstock:  Basic White, Coastal Cabana, Pacific Point, Shimmery White
  • DSP:  Waves of the Ocean #159982, Blue Foils #159983
  • Stampin’ Ink Pad:  Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight, Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, Misty Moonlight, Basic Gray, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede
  • Stampin’ Blends:  Smoky Slate, Petal Pink
  • Embellishments:  Rhinestone Waves #159396
  • Blending Brushes #153611
  • Adhesive of choice
  • Cut & Emboss Machine #149653
  • Bone folder #102300
  • Paper Snips Scissors #103579
  • Other:  Sticky note, pencil

Cutting Instructions (measurements in inches):

  • Card base, Coastal Cabana, 11 x 4 ¼, scored at 2 ¾, 5 ½
  • Pacific Point, 10 3/4 x 4, scored at 2 5/8, 5 3/8
  • Pacific Point, 1 ½ x ½
  • Shimmery White, 10 ½ x 3 ¾ (do not score until after you have completed your scenery), scored at 2 ½ x 5 ¼
  • Scrap Basic White to stamp and die cut the pelican
  • Scrap Coastal Cabana for front sentiment
  • Note:  I found by using three layers of card stock, the card was thick.  While I loved the color combinations, I would be concerned extra postage would be needed to mail the card.

Instructions:

  • Prepare card base by folding the card at the scored marks, set aside.
  • Prepare the Pacific Point cardstock by folding at the scored marks, set aside.
  • You will need to use the sticky notes to help mask the sandbank when you create the sky and to mask the sky when you create the sandbank.  Also, punch a 1 inch circle from the sticky note and add it to the sky before you start creating a beautiful sky.
  • I created the sandbank first using Crumb Cake at the top and then Sahara Sand with the Blending Brushes.
  • When I created the sky, I started around the sun and worked my way out towards the ends.  Colors used are in order, Daffodil Delight, Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Pool Party, Balmy Blue, and Pacific Point.  I used Misty Moonlight lightly at the corners.
  • Remove the masking from the sun and lightly go over the sun with the Daffodil Delight blending brush.  Doing this softened the look of the sun.
  • Score the Basic White and add the inside sentiment being careful of placement so it’s hidden when you close the card.
  • Using your Cut & Emboss machine, die cut the waves in blue foil, shimmery white, and the sentiment label in Coastal Cabana.
  • I traced the waves die on the DSP and fussy cut it out.  It will go behind the blue foil and shimmery white.
  • Adhere the pieces.
