Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions

Did you get the Flight & Airy DSP during Sale-A-Bration?  If so, here’s a great layout you can use that shows off the beautiful paper.  Using a blending brush and Boho Blue ink pad, I lightly went over the Layered Florals 3D image.  I love the 3D images more and more in the way it makes a card pop.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Lavender Suite

This was from my March Card Class. There are a few beginners in my class and they did a fantastic job making this card as they learned to add multiple layers to their card.  I’m happy to see this stamp and die set will carry over to the new Annual Catalog, however, it will no longer be sold as a Bundle.  The card base is Starry Sky which will be retiring soon and has been one of my favorite colors.

Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies

I’m enjoying using the Cheerful Daisies bundle.  I used the Lemon Lolly cardstock for the daisies and I admit the color is prettier than I thought it would be.  It goes fabulous well with the Countryside DSP.   This card didn’t take long to create although majority of the card was die cut. If you don’t like using liquid glue, I would suggest using adhesive sheets for the daisies and for the Night of Navy sprig.

The list of products and colors used are listed below.  Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you are in need of the new Stampin’ Up! annual catalog.

Use Up Your Scrap Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper

I took part in a card challenge using my scrap DSP.  Super easy, super quick and super fun to make.  The original challenge had the same measurements for each strip.  It was too uniform for me, so I modified my measurements.  Placing your strips diagonally, you will wrap it around the Basic White.  Of course, I had to use the new Sale-A-Bration stamp sentiment from the Thanks A Bunch set.

Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Mother’s Day Card Using Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Daydream

I was happy to see that this stamp bundle is carried over into the new annual catalog.  This card was created especially for my Mother-in-Law.  Since we will hand deliver the card, along with some baked goods, I didn’t need to be concerned about the bulk of the card going through the post office.  I was able to add several layers because of it.

The white crinkled ribbon is randomly stamped with Petal Pink ink.  I’m loving the look of this technique. Using my blending brush, I lightly applied Petal Pink to the Very Vanilla.  Take a look at that watercolor butterfly.  Gorgeous, right?  I wish I could say I did that, however, I didn’t.  A very sweet and extremely artistic Demonstrator gave me several butterflies.  Not only is she artistic, she is also the best fussy cutter I have ever met.  Amazing!

Easter Morning Card Using Stampin’ Up! After the Storm Stamps

I wanted our Easter card to my mother-in-law to be extra special.  When I saw a YouTube video by Frenchie Stamps creating this card, I knew it was the perfect one for my mother-in-law.  I really enjoy using my blending brushes to create horizons.  I love the fact that each card is uniquely created.  However, my desk looks like a tornado came through with all of the ink pads and blending brushes I use to create horizons!

I stamped off with So Safron every time to create the rays, although Frenchie did not.

Fun Fold Card for a Special Birthday

My oldest granddaughter turned 13 years old recently and I wanted to make her an extra special birthday card.  She had a photo shoot done for her birthday, so I decided to make a fun fold card and include some of my favorite pictures from the shoot.  The fun fold card technique that I posted about earlier this week (21 March 2022) was used.  So many possibilities when you add photos to this fun fold.  I will definitely make more in the future!  However, please note this was a thick card when I was finished because I used dimensionals to create several layers.  I’m confident it would require extra postage if you mailed one similar to this card.

Below, you’ll find a list of products and colors used to create this card.  The instructions can be found under my 21 March 2022 post, titled “Fun Fold Easter Card”.  Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Fun Fold Card for Easter

Here’s another fun fold card for Easter.  I don’t know what this fun fold is called, but I can tell you that it is truly easy to create.  Trust me, it’s not difficult at all.

I used Watercolor pencils with a blender pen for the front Daffodil stamp and ink pads for the inside.

Below, you’ll find a list of products, colors, and instructions used to create this card.  Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Supplies:

  • Stamp:  Daffodil Daydream #157786, Easter Friends #157737
  • Die:  Stitched So Sweetly #151690
  • Cardstock:  Basic White, Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry
  • DSP:  Daffodil Afternoon (retired)
  • Stampin’ Ink Pad:  Pear Pizzazz, Polished Pink, Balmy Blue, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight
  • Stampin’ Watercolor Pencils #141709 (Daffodil Delight, Old Olive)
  • Stampin’ Blender Pen #102845
  • Embossing Folder:  Tasteful Textile #152718
  • Ribbon:  Gingham #156485
  • Adhesive of choice, Stampin’ Dimensionals #104430
  • Cut & Emboss Machine #149653
  • Bone folder #102300
  • Paper Snips Scissors #103579

Cutting Instructions (measurements in inches):

  • Card base, Pear Pizzazz, 11 x 5 ¼, score at 5 ½
  • DSP, 5 ¼ x 4, 3 pieces
  • Basic White, 11 x 1, score at 2 ¾, 5 ½, 8 ¼
  • Basic White, 2 x 2 ½, 3 pieces
  • Basic White, 2 ½ x 2 ½
  • Crushed Curry, 2 1/8 x 2 5/8, 3 pieces
  • Crushed Curry, 2 5/8 x 2 5/8
  • Pear Pizzazz, approximately 3 x 4 for front die
  • Pear Pizzazz, approximately 3 x ¾ for front sentiment
  • Basic White, approximately 2 ½ x 3 ¼ for front
  • Ribbon, approximately 6 inches, enough to wrap and tie a knot

Instructions:

  • Prepare card base and adhere the DSP to the front and inside, set aside.
  • Inside:
    • Stamp your images on the three Basic White.  Stamp your sentiment on the Basic White.  I embossed the baby ducks using Tasteful Textile, but not the sentiment.
    • Adhere the stamped images to the Crushed Curry, set aside.
    • Fold in accordion style the Basic White strip.  Use your bone folder to create a flat crease.  Adhesive ONLY on the far left and far right scored area of the strip to allow the center to pop out.  Adhere to the card base.  I centered it to ensure the pop up pieces did not hang over the card base.
    • Adhere the pieces to the strip.  Reminder the two center images will have adhesive on the strip only.
  • Outside:
    • Stamp you image on Basic White and color.
    • Use the Cut & Emboss machine to die cut the scrap Pear Pizzazz with Stitched So Sweetly.  I used the second largest die cut on this card.
    • Stamp the sentiment on Pear Pizzazz using Basic Gray ink pad.
    • Adhere the Basic White to Pear Pizzazz.  Wrap ribbon around label before adhering to card base with dimensionals.
