How to Show Off Both Sides of a DSP Using Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Deer Stamp

Do you sometimes have difficulty deciding which side of the DSP to show?  I know that I do!  Well, this fun card allows you to show off both sides. With one sheet of 12 x 12, you can easily make six cards with little waste.  Let me show you.

Products used can be purchased through my Stampin’ Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Supplies:

  • Stamps:  Peaceful Deer #156891
  • Punch:  Deer Builder #156390
  • Cardstock:  Basic White, Sahara Sand, Basic Black
  • DSP:  Peaceful Prints, Be Dazzling
  • Embossing Folder:  Wintry 3D #155433
  • Stampin’ Ink Pad:  Memento, Sahara Sand

  • Adhesive of choice, glue dots #103683 and Stampin’ Up! Dimensionals #104430
  • Embellishment:  Black & White Gingham #156485

Cutting Instructions (measurements in inches):

  • Card base:  5 ½ x 8 ½, score at 4 ¼, then cut off a 3 ¼ piece which can be used to make a mat if you don’t want to use Basic Black.
  • DSP, 4 x 5 ½
  • Be Dazzling, ½ x 5 ½
  • Basic Black, 3 ¼ x 4 ¼
  • Basic White, 3 x 4
  • Ribbon, approximately 6 inches, enough to tie a knot

Instructions:

  • Prepare card base by folding the card in half at the scored mark, set aside.
  • Stamp the sentiment with Memento towards the bottom on Basic White.
  • Stamp the snow with Sahara Sand going across the Basic White, set aside to dry.
  • Using the Deer Builder punch, punch out the deer from the Peaceful Prints DSP.
  • Using the Cut & Emboss machine and emboss the flap of the card base using Wintry 3D folder.
  • Adhere the Be Dazzling strip to the flap showing a little of this paper.  Recommend using liquid glue or tear & tape because of the texture of this paper.
  • Adhere the DSP to the front of the flap.
  • Adhere the punched out deer to the Basic White just above the stamped sentiment.
  • Adhere the Basic White to Basic Black and wrap around the ribbon and tie a knot.
  • Adhere it to the card base using dimensionals.
