After I made the Grinch Gift Card Holder, I realized I needed to make a couple more with the same measurements. So, here’s one using the Don’t Stop Believin’ stamp set that is sadly retired. For measurements of the card holder, please refer to my Dec 7, 2021 post of the Grinch Card Holder.

Getting down to creating my last stack of Christmas cards. I am one that cannot make a lot of cards that are the same. I guess I get bored!! I really enjoy using different stamps and dies when I make Christmas cards. I’m not sure you can see clearly in the pictures that I had embossed the metallic gold frame using the Timber embossing folder. Each picture shows the embossed grain going in a different direction. I love how it gives more texture to the card. Below is the list of Stampin’ Up! items I used to create this card.

Here’s another card I created for my senior’s card making class. In my original design, I was planning to use Real Red cardstock as my card base, but then I remembered I had non-Stampin’ Up! card base that had glitter (I love glitter) around the edges and loved the look. Below is the list of Stampin’ Up! items used to create this card.

I can’t begin to tell you how many times we’ve watched the movie, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. It’s one of our must watch movies during the holidays. It’s up there with “It’s a Wonderful Life” starring Jimmy Stewart. Did you know that movie was made in 1946? Just a little fun fact.
Here’s a gift card holder created in honor of The Grinch. The holder is super easy to create. It took more time for me to pick out which DSP to use.

Supplies:
Stamps: Christmas Means More (retired), Tidings & Trimmings #153503
Cardstock: Basic White, Evening Evergreen, Real Red, Granny Apple Green
DSP: Tidings of Christmas #155718, Silver Foil #156457
Stampin’ Ink Pad: Real Red
Cut & Emboss Machine #149653
Adhesive of choice, Tear and Tape #154031 and Stampin’ Up! Dimensionals #104430
Baker’s Twine #155475
Bone folder #102300
Cutting Instructions (measurements in inches):
Card base: 4 ¼ x 11, score at 2, 7 ½
DSP, 4 x 3 ¼, 4 x 1 ¾
Basic White (inside), 4 x 3 ¼
Real Red, scrap scalloped circle, approximately 3”
Basic White, scrap for fur, approximately 1 ½ and circle with sentiment, approximately 3”
Granny Apple Green, scrap for Grinch’s fingers, approximately 2 ½ x 2 ½
Real Red for the arm, approximately ½ x 1 ½
Silver Foil, ½ x ½
Twine, approximately 10 inches, enough to tie a double bow
Instructions:
Tip: I used my bone folder and ran it across the center of the 2” flap first before adding tear and tape to both sides of the edge. Doing this will help prevent such a tight fit when you insert the gift card.
Stamp your sentiment on the inside Basic White.
Stamp your outside sentiment on scrap Basic White.
Using your Cut & Emboss machine die cut the Basic White fur, Granny Apple Green hands, Real Red circle and Basic White circle.
Now you’re ready to assemble the gift card.
Tip: When adhering the ornament, only add adhesive to the top portion so it adheres only to the top flap.
Whew! What a Thanksgiving holiday we had! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! The last of our house guests left earlier this week and the house is so quiet. Now that my scrapbook room is back in order, I’m getting back in the groove of making cards. I always put away my crafting items when my small grand kids come to stay so as to not temp little fingers from investigating and hurting themselves. I decided to work on cards for my upcoming senior’s card making class. This was an easy card to create. Majority of my time was spent fussy cutting the polar bear. The card base is not a Stampin’ Up! product, but thought it went well with the polar bear. It may be difficult to see in the picture, but I used my blending brush to soften the background. I felt it was too much white and the bear didn’t stand out until I blended the background with Balmy Blue. Below is the list of Stampin’ Up! items used to create this card.

My sister is here visiting and will be spending Thanksgiving with us! It’s been awhile since we’ve been able to celebrate Thanksgiving together and I’m looking forward to some fun and laughter. She is one of those sweet and thoughtful people that sends a small gift to her doctor’s office over the holidays to let them know how much they are appreciated. Since she has a sister who is a paper crafter, I couldn’t let her buy a boring gift tag! This is a Pinterest inspired gift tag.
Our other family members will be showing up within the next few days, so I will not be making a blog post next week. I want to spend as much time as possible with my family while they are here. Please have a wonderful holiday and please-please be safe if you’re traveling!

DSP scrap enough to fussy cut the dress, approximately 2 ½ x 2 ½
Ribbon, approximately 6 inches, enough to tie a small bow
Jute, approximately 9 inches
My Tailored Tag punch is probably the most used punch that I have. It’s wonderful to punch out the ribbon banner.
I thought the Basic White was too bright, so I used Balmy Blue ink and my blending brush to soften the look and then stamped off the snowflakes in Balmy Blue ink. I still felt it needed something else so I decided to add wink of stella to the tree, presents and greenery arrangement.
